The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the commencement of registration and deposit payments for the 2026 Hajj, in line with the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, disclosed at a meeting with management and Local Government Hajj Officers that the initial deposit has been fixed at ₦8.5 million. Deposits will be collected through bank drafts submitted via the Local Government Hajj Centres.
He further revealed that Kano State has been allocated 5,684 seats for the exercise, with payments to be made before the October 5, 2025 deadline when the final fare will also be announced.
Intending pilgrims are required to provide eight passport-sized photographs and a valid international passport during registration.
Board Chairman, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, prayed for intending pilgrims to meet the financial requirements with ease and urged Hajj Officers across the local governments to work diligently to secure their seat allocations.
