The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has scheduled the third phase of its education and orientation exercise for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj.

The two-day programme will hold on March 28 and 29 at the board’s Permanent #Hajj Transit Camp in Bassan Jiwa, near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, starting at 8:00 a.m. daily.

Director of the board, Kadiri Edah, described the exercise as crucial for #pilgrims, noting that it would provide essential guidance on how to perform Hajj in line with Islamic teachings.

Edah said the programme would cover new Saudi policies, immigration and customs regulations, drug control guidelines, as well as personal hygiene and safety measures.

He urged all registered pilgrims to attend, stressing that the sessions would equip them with necessary knowledge for a smooth and acceptable Hajj.

The director also reaffirmed the board’s commitment to improved welfare services, better accommodation, and timely airlift of pilgrims.

The board noted that the exercise is part of its early preparations for a hitch-free Hajj, in line with guidelines from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria and Saudi authorities.

The statement was signed by the Chief Information Officer, Ahmad Saleh.
