GOVERNOR SULE RECEIVES 2024 HAJJ REPORT, COMMEND PILGRIMS BOARD FOR EXCELLENCE AND PARTNERSHIP AWARD FROM SERVICE PROVIDER

The Nasarawa State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board had on Friday submitted a comprehensive 2024 hajj report to Governor Abdullahi Sule at Government House Lafia. 

Presenting the report, Head of the Government Delegation Justice Aisha Bashir Aliyu told the Governor that 2024 pilgrims from Nasarawa State have exhibited high levels of maturity as they maintain law and order during and after the just concluded hajj exercise.

Justice Aisha who led other board members also intimated the  Governor that the Executive Secretary of the board Mallam Idris Almakura has been up and doing in ensuring that the comfort and welfare of the pilgrims are protected as echoed by the Governor.

The Chief Judge appealed to the Governor to establish Hajj Camp for Nasarawa State at the Kwandare Airport to the easy suffering of pilgrims during hajj operations.

In the same Vien, the Chief Judge had also presented an Award of Excellence awarded to the board by the Service Providers for partnership’s excellent and good working relationship.

Responding, Governor Abdullahi Sule appreciated the 2024 hajj team for their commitment and exemplary leadership of the team that leads to even gaining an award of excellence for the State.

Governor Sule also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment towards providing a seamless and efficient support for its citizens undertaking this important religious rites as he promised to engage with the board on the issue of Hajj Camp in Kwandare Airport.

In an interview with Government House Press Crew, Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board Mallam Idris Almakura attributed the success recorded to the support the Governor accorded to the board especially releasing operational funds on time.

Mallam Idris Almakura added that the Governor’s intervention in the payment of Hadaya, stipend for Sallah to pilgrims among others assistant has helped in no small measure towards the success of this year’s hajj operations.
