Ahead of commencement of #Hajj airlift, Kano state Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced pregnancy screening of female pilgrims registered for this year’s hajj.
A statement by deputy director, public relations of the board, Hajiya Hadiza Abbas Sanusi on Sunday, directed the female contingents to report to the state hajj camp on Monday for the exercise.
According to Sanusi, the first set of intending female pilgrims are those from Wudil, Ajingi, Gaya, Warawa, Danbatta, Makoda, Minjibir, Gezawa and Gabasawa.
The routine pregnancy test and other maternity screening are mandatory requirements for female registered pilgrims to ascertain their status.
Kano is scheduled to commence airlift of her first batch of 550 intending pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 25th May, 2023 at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, on Max air.
