Hajj 2023: Kano pilgrim dies in Saudi Arabia

Kano state has confirmed the death of its pilgrim after performing Hajj in Makka, Saudi Arabia.

 

In a statement by Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, Chairman, Kano state Hajj Media Team on Wednesday, the deceased, identified as Hadiza Isma’il from Madobi Local Government area, died on Monday around 3:15 pm Saudi local time, after a brief illness.

 

The 58 year old woman, according to the statement, was taken to NAHCON hospital for treatment of fever before she was transferred to King Abdulaziz Hospital, Makka, where she was certified dead.

 

The statement said she had since buried in Makka after a funeral prayer that took place in the Grand Mosque.

 

The Director General of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Rabiu Danbappa, also confirmed the sad story.

 

Danbappa condoled the family of the deceased on behalf of the Kano state governor and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant her eternal rest and for the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
