The Borno State Pilgrims Welfare Board is set to commence its Da’awah lectures for Maiduguri for this year’s Hajj, starting on Monday, 13 May 2024.
The lecture is scheduled to take place at Sir Kashim Ibrahim College of Education Maiduguri and is expected to commence at 9 a.m. daily till it ends. Lectures for Biu Zone, which covers Biu, Bayo, Kwaya Kusar, Shani, and Hawul, have since commenced and are about rounding up.
The Executive Secretary of the Board Alhaji Muhammad Dawule Maino therefore calls on all intending Pilgrims to attend all the lectures unfailingly as all aspects of the performance of Hajj will be discussed exhaustively by renowned Ulamas drawn from all parts of the State.
Ulamas expected to speak during the occasion include Sheikh Abubakar Kyari, Sheikh Modu Mustapha, Sheikh Ibrahim Mustapha, Sheikh Jafaar Sa’adu Ngamdu, and Professor Hamman Adama Biu. Others include Malam Ahmad Alhaji Abubakar, Director Da’awah Department, while Malama Adama Muhammad will speak on matters concerning women.
Prominent among those expected to attend the opening ceremony are the Chairman 2024 Hajj special committee Distinguished Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, members of the Committee as well as top government functionaries.
The Executive Secretary of the Board also enjoins all intending Pilgrims to liaise with their fare collectors, desk officers, as well as Agents for clarification where necessary.
