The Executive Governor of Katsina state Mallam Dikko Umar Radda has approved the commencement of Registration for Hajj 2024 and collection of deposit from intending pilgrims throughout the state.
The Executive Director of the state Pilgrims board, Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki revealed this during a press briefing in his office on Thursday.The Director said the board had received 4,513 Hajj seats from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)

He also said intending pilgrims are to pay a minimum deposit of (₦3,000,000,00)Three million Naira for a start.
“However, it is expected that by December 2023 all registered intending pilgrims would be able to top up their deposit to ₦4.5million before the announcement of a final Hajj fare by NAHCON,” he said.
Alhaji Kuki, who advised the intending pilgrims to make all their payments through a certified bank draft, payable to Katsina state pilgrims welfare board, added that the registration exercise is to be conducted at all the seven zonal offices of the board situated at Katsina, Funtua, Malumfashi, Dutsinma, Kankia, Daura and Mani local government areas. The Director said the registration would be done based on ” first come first to serve basis”.

Kuki further said the 2024 Hajj registration exercise will be carried out under some provisional guidelines and the guidelines are available at all the registration centres.
The Executive Director, who acknowledged the support and assistance given to the board by the Governor of the state Mallam Dikko Umar Radda urged the intending pilgrims to quickly register before the deadline given by NAHCON.
