Press Release
The Director of the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, sensitized the members of the FCT Council of Ulama and Chiefs Imams today about the need for prospective intending pilgrims to register early, in order for the Board to prepare early for the successful Hajj exercise next year.
The Director then craved for the support and assistance of the Council members to further sensitize the prospective intending pilgrims and the Muslim Ummah in their domains, especially during their Friday sermons.
The Chairman of the Council, who doubled as the Chief Imam of the Muslim Community Centre (MCC) Masjid, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja, Sheik Tajuddeen Bello Adigun, who welcomed the Director and his entourage to their midst, assured the Director of their total support and commitments, so that the Board would achieve a successful and hitch-free Hajj exercise
Sheik Tajuddeen Adigun noted that the primary objective of the Council is to promote and propagate Islam in the FCT through quality teaching instructions and sermons to the Muslim Ummah across the Territory. Hajj, being a fundamental pillar in Islam, could not be left behind.
