Hajj 2025 Medical Team/Operational Staff: South African Hajj and Umrah Council opens applications portal October 1st

The South African Hajj and Umrah Council SAHUC has called in interested applicants who wish to be part of the SAHUC team of Hajj field workers, Medical Mission workers and administrators for the coming Hajj season 1446AH/2025 to apply via its online portal.

RE: PRESS RELEASE: HAJJ FIELD MISSION AND MEDICAL MISSION APPLICATIONS – HAJJ 1446AH/2025

As Salaamu Alaikum respected brothers and sisters,

The Board and National General Council (NGC) member organizations of the South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) hereby extends an invitation to interested applicants to apply to be part of the SAHUC team of Hajj field workers, Medical Mission workers and administrators for the coming Hajj season 1446AH/2025.

Applications will open on Tuesday the 01st of October 2024 at 10h00 online via SAHUC’s website, www.sahuc.co.za . The closing date for applications will be the 21st of October at 18h00. The applicants will need to navigate the footer of the home page on the SAHUC website, click on the Hajj mission link under the Hajj section to complete your details.

A comprehensive step-by-step guide of how to complete the online application can be found under the “HOW TO GUIDE” tab on the SAHUC website. SAHUC will cover the return airfare cost, accommodation cost and we pay a stipend to each member that will be selected to serve the guest of ALLAH (S.W.T) during Hajj 1446AH (2025). The SAHUC mission team will not be allowed to perform Hajj. SAHUC has the

autonomy to choose mission workers as they see fit. SAHUC will not provide explanations or justifications for unsuccessful applications.

Mandatory requirements for applicants:

Complete the Hajj mission application form online, all applicants must have previously performed Hajj.

Copy of Hajj Visa – or an affidavit stating a Fard Hajj was performed.

Yellow Fever and Meningitis Vaccine certification. For applicants over the age of 65, the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah are requesting COVID-19 certification as well as a seasonal influenza vaccine.

Applicants must be available for a minimum period of 6 to 8 weeks. (For doctors only, minimum period is 4 weeks).

Complete Curriculum Vitae (CV).

Letter of recommendation from organizations that you may have served or still serve.

Copy of valid passport – passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date.

Female applicants will be considered for medical and administrative positions.

All the medical doctors and nurses will be required to submit their medical records to SAHUC for submission to the Ministry of health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
