Intending Pilgrims from Nasarawa State have been tasked to exhibit a high sense of responsibility during the Hajj exercise for spiritual upliftment.
The executive secretary of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Idris Almakura, stated this during orientation and the practical aspects of Pilgrims’ conduct at the holy Land.
The practical aspects and enlightenment exercise at the headquarters of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, which attracted one thousand intending Pilgrims and was conducted simultaneously across the three senatorial districts, was geared towards educating and sensitizing the intending Pilgrims on the dos and don’ts during the Hajj exercise.
Addressing the intending Pilgrims, the Executive Secretary of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Idris Almakura, who spoke through the Director of Welfare and Orientation, Ibrahim Abba Muhammad, noted that one day sensitization workshop is paramount to address the challenges Pilgrims face during the Hajj exercise.
Almakura pointed out that it is expected that the intending Pilgrims should adhere to all lay down principles and abide by the laws guiding their stay in the Holy land and cautioned them against indulging in negative activities that may tarnish the image of Nasarawa State and Nigeria.
Resources persons during the orientation ceremony Alhaji Muhammad Gwani, public relations officer of Muslim Pilgrims welfare Board Alhaji Abdulrazak Abacha among othera who spoke on the Significant of adhering to all the rules and regulations associated to Hajj exercise, equally educated them on use the Saudi Arabia currency, how to conduct themselves in various places that will be visited during the the Hajj.
Some of the intending Pilgrims interviewed Ghali Aliyu and Umar Abdul Rahman commended the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for the initiative, which they describe as a right step to reduce some of the challenges Pilgrims face during the Hajj exercise.
The orientation ceremony feature the practical aspects and enlightenment exercise on how to go to kaaba and Provisions of safa and marwa where the intending Pilgrims practicalize the process.
