The Nigeria Immigration Service Nasarawa State Command has pledged its commitment to fastrack E-passport production for intending pilgrims from Nasarawa State.
Nasarawa State Commandant of the NIS Mr. Sekure Ubale made this known when he hosted management of the Nasarawa State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board at his office in Lafia.
Mr. Sekure noted that the command shall henceforth give adequate priority to all intending pilgrims from Nasarawa State to enable them commence registration in E-Hajj Portal in ernest .
He advised the board to constitute a joint security committee that will be saddled with the responsibility of screening intending pilgrims at the board premisses before they move to the airport in Abuja.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Mallam Idris Almakura Represented by the Director Admin and Supply of the board Mustapha Isa, said the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the board and the command.
Mallam Almakura appreciated the Command for attaching priority to intending pilgrims, saying the gesture will go a long way in reducing crash registration at the E-Hajj Portal.
