As part of efforts to enrich pilgrims’ knowledge during the Holy Pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board’s second batch has commenced guided visitations, otherwise known as Ziyarah, to historical sites in Madinah.
Addressing the pilgrims at Jabal Uhud, one of the revered sites, the leader of the team described the visit as an important spiritual exercise that every pilgrim is encouraged to undertake.
He further explained that the Ziyarah serves to strengthen the faith of the pilgrims, deepen their belief in the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, and revive the history of the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his companions.
Mal Yusha’u highlighted the efforts of Holy Prophet Muhammad at ensuring that Islam which is a religion of peace, achieves its aims and objectives.
He urged the pilgrims to promote the religion in good light and emulate the virtue of the Messenger of Allah.
He admonished them to heed the rules and regulations of the officials so as not to go astray.
Sheikh Yusha’u also enjoined them to make use of the opportunity of the Holy land to pray fervently for their local government areas, state and Nigeria in general.
