Hajj 2026: Kano Urges Pilgrims to Submit Passports Ahead of Visa Processing

by admin

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has alerted intending pilgrims that preparations for visa processing for the 2026 Hajj are imminent, urging those yet to submit their international passports to do so without delay.

The Director General of the Board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, made the call during the official flag-off of the Weekly Hajj Induction Course at the School for Arabic Studies, Kano. He stressed that timely submission of passports is essential to guarantee a smooth and hitch-free visa processing exercise.

Danbappa disclosed that, in line with Saudi Arabian requirements, Hajj visas for the 2026 pilgrimage will be linked to pilgrims’ medical certificates and the Nusuk platform, making early documentation even more critical.

Also speaking at the event, the chairman of the Board of Directors, Yusuf Lawan, urged intending pilgrims to attend the weekly induction courses regularly, noting that the sessions are designed to educate pilgrims on Hajj rites, regulations and expected conduct.

He said consistent participation in the induction programme would enhance pilgrims’ preparedness and contribute to a successful and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience.
