HAJJ REPORTERS reports that the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board had revealed that it was still discussing with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON) on the airline that will transport the state’s pilgrims to Saudi Arabia after controversy trailed the choice of Azman Air for the state by the commission.
Mallam Dambatta, who addressed the press on Saturday, had clarified that the issue of rejection does not arise because the state never requested for the services of Azman Air in the first place.
He said the board had never written to or had any working relationship with Azman Air, adding “we have never requested for the company to airlift our pilgrims.”
With this announcement all is now set for the airlift of Kano state pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for these years hajj.
