Hajj; Nigerian Pilgrims move to Muna, ready for Arafah

In preparation for Arafah Day which is the peak of Hajj exercise tomorrow Tuesday, 75,000 Nigerian pilgrims join over 2 million of other faithful from around the world to move about 9 kilometers from Makkah to Muna today.

Liberty News Correspondent in Makkah, Abdull-Azeez Ahmed Kadir reports that the movement of pilgrims from their residences in Makkah started as early 5am local time and 3am Nigerian time.
The early movement was meant to avoid hitches, hold ups and ensure all pilgrims get to their tent and settle down on time.

Pilgrims were also advised to try and stay within their tents as much as possible, as the weather prediction shows the heat will be severe. Pilgrims were also advised to take as much water as possible to avoid dehydration.

Nigerian pilgrims for this year’s Hajj comprises of 20,000 through tour operators, 75,000 through the 36 States, FCT and the Armed Forces.
