The Osun State Muslims Pilgrim Welfare Board (OSMPWB) says it has secured suitable accommodation for its more than 1,200 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.

Mr Muritala Fakunle, Executive Secretary of the board, announced this in a release during his visit to Saudi Arabia in preparation for this year’s hajj.

He pointed out that the acquired facility is close to Haram (Holy Mosque) in Makkah.

According to him, the facility is designed to provide an unparalleled level of comfort and convenience for pilgrims, offering a range of amenities and services to cater for their needs.

“The move is part of the Board’s efforts to revolutionize the pilgrimage experience for Osun State pilgrims, “he said.

Mr Muritala expresses his satisfaction for the cooperation of the intending pilgrims during the clearance exercise and urged them to ensure full participation as the board kicks starts its enlightenment induction course and vaccination this week and next week, respectively.

He therefore called on the government to continue with its support for the board to ensure a hitch-free hajj exercise.

The Secretary, however, appealed to the intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state before, during and after the 2025 pilgrimage.
