Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR) is an Independent hajj body saddled with the responsibilities of monitoring and reporting the entire process of hajj activities at the state and National levels.

During the just concluded 2024 hajj exercise, Independent Hajj Reporters observed that Nasarawa State has secured the best and closest accommodation for its pilgrims in Makkah, courtesy of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State.

At this year’s event in Abuja, the IHR has awarded the Nasarawa State Pilgrims Board as Best/Closest Accommodation To Grand Mosque in Makkah.

Receiving the award, Executive Secretary NSMPWB Mallam Idris Almakura said the success achieved was as a result of the huge support and contribution of the Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Mallam Idris Almakura therefore dedicated the Award to the government and people of the Nasarawa state as well as the 2024 pilgrims for exhibiting a high level of maturity during and after the hajj.

Appreciating IHR for finding Nasarawa State worthy of the award, Dr. Ibrahim Sodangi of NAHCON and Director Welfare and Orientation NSMPWB Mallam Ibrahim Abba, equally applauded Governor Sule and the Executive Secretary of the Board for working tirelessly to better the welfare of the Nasarawa State Pilgrims.

The theme of this year’s event is Strategic  Time Management for Effective 2025 Hajj Operations.
