The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has concluded the collection of payments for the 2026 Hajj exercise, with December 24 set as the official deadline.

In a statement, the board expressed appreciation to the Jigawa State Government under Governor Umar Namadi for its support in securing the state’s Hajj slots.

The board said the governor approved a strategic loan to enable Jigawa to secure its allocated seats with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, describing the intervention as critical to retaining the state’s full quota.

According to the board, the timely action has provided a strong foundation for a successful 2026 pilgrimage.

Director General of the board, Ahmad Umar Labbo, said preparations were on course to deliver a smooth and well-organised Hajj for pilgrims from the state.

“Our goal is to ensure a comfortable, seamless and spiritually fulfilling journey for every pilgrim from Jigawa State,” Labbo said.

He assured intending pilgrims that all funds deposited with the board are secure, stressing that transparency and prudent management of resources remain a priority.

The board said it would continue to intensify preparations to ensure that pilgrims from Jigawa State enjoy improved services during the 2026 Hajj exercise.
