The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has urged intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj to make an initial deposit of ₦2 million on or before November 14, 2025.
Chairman of the agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, made the announcement on Thursday, emphasizing that the deposit is a mandatory step ahead of the official announcement of the final Hajj fare by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He explained that the early payment would enable the agency to make adequate preparations and ensure smooth coordination with both national and Saudi Arabian Hajj authorities.
Abubakar warned that those who fail to pay the deposit before the deadline may not be considered for the 2026 exercise, adding that full payment of the Hajj fare must be completed by December 31, 2025.
He urged religious leaders and community heads to help sensitize intending pilgrims across the state, reiterating the agency’s commitment to a smooth and successful Hajj operation.
