The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has advised intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj to begin financial preparations and ensure their travel documents are ready.
The agency’s spokesperson, Yunusa Mohammed Abdullahi, said the advice follows the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s (NAHCON) directive at its Post-Hajj Strategic Meeting, where a tentative deposit of ₦8.5 million was announced as the provisional fare, pending final negotiations.
Abdullahi also urged those without valid e-passports to apply promptly, noting it is essential for processing travel arrangements. Nigeria has retained its 95,000-slot allocation for the pilgrimage, with Kaduna State’s share expected to remain unchanged.
