The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has appealed to intending pilgrims to make their Hajj deposits early to ensure seamless preparations for the next pilgrimage.
Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, made the appeal during a strategic engagement meeting with Juma’at Mosque Imams at the Tourist Camp Conference Hall in Kano.
Danbappa said early payment of the ₦8,244,813.67 deposit per pilgrim would enable the Board to finalize logistics, accommodation, and travel plans in line with directives from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and Saudi authorities.
NAHCON’s Kano Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Kalgo, commended the state’s consistent leadership in pilgrim registration, attributing it to proactive planning and effective sensitization.
Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, urged religious leaders to support awareness campaigns and encourage early registration to facilitate efficient Hajj management.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a successful and well-organized Hajj exercise for Kano pilgrims.
