Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Refund 2026 Hajj fare differentials to Pilgrims

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has announced that the Board has successfully paid all outstanding refunds to intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise who had earlier paid the initial Hajj fare.

Alhaji Abubakar Matawalle made this known during an interview with journalists. He stated that approximately five batches of pilgrims have received refunds representing the balance from the initial Hajj fare they had deposited.

According to him, the initial Hajj fare was ₦8,500,000, but following a reduction, it was revised to ₦7,696,813. The difference has now been refunded to the affected pilgrims.

The Director General further advised any pilgrim who has not yet received their refund to contact their bank or reach out to Hajj officers in their respective local government areas.

He confirmed that the Board has now fulfilled its responsibility of paying all outstanding balances.
