Ahead of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, the Chief Judge of Katsina state, Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar has met with the board members and management staff of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board meets to brief them on their expected roles.
The meeting held at the conference room of the board on Tuesday in Katsina and had in attendance all the board members led by the chairman, Alhaji Kabir Nature, Sarkin Alhazai.
Board members and statury officials across some states often clash with each threatening to assert their authorities, especially during operations in Saudi Arabia
The briefing by the Chief is aimed at avoiding such scenarios among Katsina state contingent during the forthcoming Hajj 2024 operations.
In His Welcome Address, the Executive Director of the board, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama Congratulated the Board Members on their Appointment by the Executive Governor of the State, Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD.
The Executive Director expressed optimism that with the briefing by the CJ, he was confident, the state will experience yet another successful Hajj operations.
He called on the board members and management staff to work in unity to ensure a successful Hajj operations exercise.
The Executive Director assured the Board members of the continued support of the management and staff of the Board.
Justice Abubakar who spoke at length highlighted roles and responsibilities everyone is expected to play for the overall success of the Board and Katsina State Government in General.
Giving a vote of thanks, the Board Chairman Alhaji Kabir Bature -Sarkin Alhazai- expressed appreciation to the Chief Judge for the lecture and thanked the Management of the board for convening the meeting.
The CJ who expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the Chief Judge addressed them, used the opportunity to thank the Executive Governor of the State, Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD for appointing them to serve as Board members of Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
