The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has announced the commencement of medical screening for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise, beginning Monday, January 23, 2026.
The Director of Da’awa of the agency, Imam Aminu Hassan Birnin Kebbi who represent the Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Yaro Enabo disclosed this while briefing journalists in Birnin Kebbi
Imam Aminu said the exercise would be conducted across designated zones in the state to ensure orderly and comprehensive screening of all intending pilgrims. According to him, Zone A, comprising Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo, Gwandu and Bunza Local Government Areas, will be screened from January 26 to 29, 2026, at the Hajj Camp in Birnin Kebbi.
Zone B, covering Argungu and Augie Local Government Areas, is scheduled for January 30 and 31, 2026, at the Argungu Local Government Secretariat, while Zone C, made up of Yauri and Ngaski Local Government Areas, will be screened on February 1 and 2, 2026, at the Yauri Local Government Secretariat.
He explained that Zone D, comprising Zuru, Fakai, Danko–Wasagu and Sakaba Local Government Areas, will hold its screening on February 3 and 4, 2026, at the Zuru Local Government Secretariat.
According to the timetable, Zone E, which includes Jega, Aliero and Maiyama Local Government Areas, will be screened on February 5 and 6, 2026, at the Jega Local Government Secretariat, while Zone F, comprising Suru and Dandi Local Government Areas, is slated for February 7 and 8, 2026, at the Dakingari Local Government Secretariat.
The exercise will conclude with Zone G, covering Koko/Besse, Bagudo and Shanga Local Government Areas, scheduled for February 9 and 10, 2026, at the Koko/Besse Local Government Secretariat.
Imam Aminu urged all intending pilgrims to adhere strictly to the screening schedule and comply with all guidelines issued by the agency to ensure a smooth and successful preparation for the 2026 Hajj.
