Kwara Pilgrims Board Urges NAHCON to Improve Toilet Facilities in Mina

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has called on the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to address the shortage of toilet facilities at Mina camps during future Hajj operations.

Chairman of the board, Alhaji Mashood Jimba, who spoke with journalists in Makkah, said only 10 toilet units were provided for over 2,200 Kwara pilgrims, causing severe congestion and discomfort.

“Many pilgrims had to wake up at midnight just to access the toilets without stress,” he said.

While commending NAHCON for its efforts in accommodation, feeding, and transportation, Jimba also urged better coordination on consular matters through closer collaboration with the Nigerian Embassy and Consulate in Saudi Arabia.
