NAHCON approaches return airlift completion as 71,962 pilgrims are back home in 181 flights

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has recorded 181 return flights of pilgrims so far, since the commencement of the return airlift on July 4th.

In the flights update by its Command and Control Centre posted on its platforms, NAHCON said 71,962 pilgrims had been airlifted to Nigeria so far, after completing the 2023 Hajj exercise.

This means the commission is about to beat its August 3rd return airlift completion deadline.

 

In the information, AZMAN flight AZM2347 that departed Jeddah to Kaduna at 08:18am on Sunday with 399 Kaduna Pilgrims is the 181st flight.

 

HAJJ REPORTERS recalls that Nigeria was allocated 95,000 slots for the just concluded Hajj.

 

Out of the 95,000, the NAHCON was responsible for the airlift of about 75,000 pilgrims, while the tour operators would airlift the remaining 20,000.
