In a bid to enhance the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims under the Private Tour Operators’ quota, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has conducted a critical catering simulation exercise at the Rawaf Mina office in Makkah.

Led by Mr. Alidu Shutti, Deputy Coordinator of NAHCON’s Makkah Office, the exercise focused on assessing the quality, timeliness, and nutritional value of meals to be served during the sacred days at Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. Mr. Shutti, representing NAHCON Chairman/CEO Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, emphasized that “timely delivery and consistency in quality and quantity are non-negotiable.”

Rawaf Mina CEO, Mr. Zuhaer A. Sadayu, assured that a food service consultant has been engaged to ensure high standards, promising that all feedback from the session will be addressed before final deployment.

NAHCON’s Saudi Liaison Officer, Ustaz Abubakar Lamin, expressed satisfaction with the initiative and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to ensuring pilgrims receive full value for their Hajj experience. The exercise forms part of NAHCON’s broader mission to improve service delivery throughout the 2025 Hajj.
