The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has appointed Muhammad Ahmad Musa as the commission’s new spokesperson.
HAJJ REPORTERS noticed the change in the Media section after a press release on the 2023 Hajj refund was issued.
The press release was signed by Muhammad Ahmad Musa, who now holds the title of Head of Public Affairs.
Further inquiry by Hajj Reporters reveals that Muhammad Ahmad Musa has assumed the role previously held by Hajiya Fatima Sanda Usara.
Mrs. Usara, an Assistant Director has now been reassigned to head the Information and Publication Division of the commission, a position left vacant following the retirement of its former head, Musa Ubandawaki.
Before his new appointment, Muhammad served as the acting head of the publication division.
The leadership changes suggest a strategic realignment within NAHCON, which aims to enhance its communication strategies and public engagement efforts.
These developments come at a critical time for NAHCON, as effective information dissemination is essential for managing the commission’s image.
Representatives for NAHCON were not immediately available for comment on the personnel changes.
