The Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS) division of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has commenced discussions with TAJ Bank on the development of a digital application aimed at simplifying Hajj registration and savings for intending pilgrims.
The meeting, held at the NAHCON headquarters in Abuja, brought together representatives from TAJ Bank and the Commission’s HSS and ICT teams. The proposed app is expected to feature biometric integration, e-payment systems, real-time updates, and enhanced data security.
NAHCON officials, led by Dr. Aliyu A.A. Esq, emphasized the need for a user-friendly platform accessible to pilgrims across Nigeria, while TAJ Bank’s team highlighted its technical readiness to deliver a secure solution.
Both parties agreed to a timeline and responsibilities for the project, targeting full deployment ahead of the 2026 Hajj registration cycle.
