NAHCON TO SAUDI ARABIA: ALLOW US TO FEED OUR PILGRIMS IN MINA, REFUND UNRENDERED SERVICES

The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan had called on Saudi Arabian authorities to expedite action on the refund of feeding and tent services not provided to Nigerian in Mashair during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage..

The #Chairman made the request on Tuesday at a virtual meeting with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to discuss 2024 hajj.

The meeting marked the start of the 2024 Hajj operations and was attended by the Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Hajj, Honorable Jafar Mohammed, representatives of the Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello as well as the Nigerian Consul-General in Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Bello Abdulkadir.

In the same vein, the NAHCON boss further reiterates the need for the Kingdom to disengage from the provision of feeding services in the Masha’ir and allow the country to take over to afford the Pilgrims opportunity to enjoy delicacies they are used to at home.

Alhaji Hassan also called on the Ministry to review its decision by allowing Nigerian Pilgrims to depart through the King Abdul- Aziz International Airport Jeddah instead of Madina as that would create bottlenecks and logistics problems for the pilgrims.
