The Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced distribution of the male and female uniforms, hand luggage to 2025 intending pilgrims.
Executive Secretary of the board, Mallam Idris Almakura, who made a symbolic presentation of the items in Lafia said only intending pilgrims who completed their hajj fare will get the uniforms.
He added that the uniforms will be released to the local government’s hajj coordinators for onward distribution to the intending pilgrims who registered under them.
Mallam Idris Almakura reaffirmed the stand of the board to deal decisively with any coordinator who shortchanged the name of pilgrims that completed their fare with those who didn’t.
The Executive Secretary used the medium to call the prospective pilgrims to submit their International Passport on or before the 14th of March 2025 or risk the chance of performing hajj.
The meeting also provides an opportunity for the Executive Secretary to get an update of the payment of Hajj fare from Coordinators to ascertain those who completed their fare.
