The outbound airlift of Nigerian pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise was successfully concluded on Wednesday as a MaxAir flight conveying 490 pilgrims from Zamfara State departed Gusau for Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The flight, with registration number NGL3035, took off at 10:44 a.m. with 306 male and 184 female pilgrims onboard.
With the latest movement, a total of 38,888 Nigerian pilgrims have been transported to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 98 flights for this year’s pilgrimage.
The final flight officially marked the end of the outbound airlift operations for the 2026 Hajj exercise coordinated by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria in collaboration with state pilgrims welfare boards and approved airlines.
