Press Statement
The Sokoto State Pilgrims Agency has retracted its earlier press statement announcing the NAHCON-approved extension of the Hajj registration deadline to 14th of February 2025.
In another statement signed by Faruku Umar who is the Head of Information and Communications, the agency said NAHCON has not officially approved the extension and therefore urge intending pilgrims to disregard the announced extension.
See the statement below:
The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency wishes to inform the general public, particularly intending pilgrims, that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has not officially granted an extension of time for the sales of 2025 Hajj seats.
This announcement contradicts earlier reports suggesting a deadline extension. Intending pilgrims should note that the original deadline still stands, and they should proceed with their registration accordingly.
