Saudi authorities have arrested more than 23,000 individuals across the Kingdom in a weeklong joint operation targeting violations of residency, labor, and border security laws.
According to official reports, the arrests included 13,600 residency violators, 4,800 border offenders, and 4,600 labor law violators. The campaign also uncovered attempts to illegally cross the borders and those aiding offenders by providing transport or shelter.
Authorities warned that anyone found assisting violators faces up to 15 years imprisonment, fines reaching SAR 1 million, and the confiscation of vehicles or housing used in the offenses.
The nationwide operation underscores the Kingdom’s firm stance on enforcing its immigration and labor regulations.
