Saudi Arabia Sets New Rules for Approving Pilgrims’ Accommodation for 2026 Hajj

by admin

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced new procedures for licensing accommodation facilities for the 1447 AH (2026) Hajj season.

According to the ministry, licenses for facilities designated for pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah will now be issued exclusively by the Ministry of Tourism through its electronic platform, accessible via the “Nusuk Masar” system.

Accommodation providers are required to obtain the necessary licenses in line with approved hospitality standards. However, hotels already licensed year-round by the Ministry of Tourism will have their approvals automatically reflected on the Nusuk Masar platform and will only need to activate their electronic accounts before contracting with pilgrims.

The ministry further disclosed that the deadline for contracting through the platform is 13 Sha’ban 1447 AH (February 1, 2026).
