The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia has released the official time frame for Hajj flight operations for the 2026/1447 pilgrimage season.
According to the schedule, the arrival phase for pilgrims will commence on 18 Saturday, April, 2026 (1/11/1447 AH), and end at 23:59 GMT on Thursday, May 21, 2026 (4/12/1447 AH), based on the Umm Al-Qura calendar.
The departure phase is set to begin on Saturday, May 30, 2026 (13/12/1447 AH), and conclude by Tuesday, June 30, 2026 (15/01/1448 AH).
GACA emphasized that all Hajj flight requests must be submitted between Sunday, August 29, 2025 (01/03/1447 AH), and Thursday, March 12, 2026 (23/09/1447 AH). The authority also urged early finalization of contracts with Hajj missions to ensure smooth accommodation and logistics arrangements in Makkah and Madinah.
It further stated that in case of any discrepancy between the Hijri and Gregorian calendars, the Gregorian calendar would take precedence for flight operations.
GACA warned that legal action would be taken against any airline—regular or charter—that fails to comply with Hajj transport regulations.
