As the Mashaer phase of the 2025 Hajj intensifies, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj has issued critical safety directives to all pilgrims, urging strict adherence in light of extreme weather conditions and to ensure smooth execution of key rites.
The Ministry has warned that temperatures have exceeded 50°C and directed that pilgrims must not leave their tents between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m, emphasizing that this includes abstaining from visits to sites such as Jabal Noor during these peak heat hours.
Additionally, movement from Arafat to Muzdalifah must be strictly via buses as assigned by authorities, with no alternative means of transport allowed to prevent health emergencies due to heat exposure.
In a further directive, pilgrims have been instructed to perform Udhiya (animal sacrifice) and Hadya only through officially approved channels, with details on the process to be communicated soon.
Security protocols have also been heightened, with pilgrims advised not to admit any stranger into their tents and to immediately report suspicious persons to authorities.
The Ministry has also reiterated that stoning rituals must be carried out only at scheduled times, in accordance with safety and logistical planning.
Pilgrims, Hajj officials, and media personnel are urged to disseminate these guidelines widely to ensure full compliance and safeguard the lives and well-being of all participants during this critical phase of the Hajj exercise.
