RIYADH — Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has concluded an official visit to the Russian Federation, where he engaged in discussions to bolster cooperation and improve services for pilgrims and visitors.
During the visit, Dr. Al-Rabiah emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to facilitating Hajj and Umrah for all Muslims, highlighting the role of digital solutions from Saudi Vision 2030 in enhancing service quality and ensuring pilgrim satisfaction.
In meetings with the Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, and officials in Dagestan and Tatarstan, Dr. Al-Rabiah discussed ways to enhance the pilgrim experience. He also met with key Russian officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, to explore further cooperation and service improvements for Russian pilgrims.
The visit featured the opening of the “Nusuk” exhibition, aimed at promoting collaboration between service providers and showcasing new services for pilgrims. These initiatives align with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of enhancing coordination and improving the overall experience for pilgrims and visitors worldwide.
