Tour operator slumps, dies while registering to attend meeting with NAHCON chairman

The Managing Director of a private tour operator, Danlami Umar has slumped and died while registering to attend a meeting with the acting chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The late Umar was the proprietor of Hasha Travels and he was part of the team from the Association of Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON).

The spokesperson of AHUON, Alh Nasiru Chamo who confirmed the sad development to HAJJ REPORTERS said late Umar “slumped while signing the visitors register and died on the way to the Hospital”.

 

Also, a press statement by the spokesperson of NAHCON, Mousa Ubandawaki said the Ag. Chairman of the commission has expressed his deep-felt sympathy to the family of Danlami Umar.

The Chairman, according to the statement, described death as inevitable.

“Death is inevitable. As Muslims our belief is that not a second can be added when the time comes. Our heart goes out to his family, friends and associates at this time. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and give the members of the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
