2024 Hajj: Jigawa urges clerics, imams to enlighten intending pilgrims on prompt Hajj fare payment

Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has called on clerics and Juma’at Mosques imams to englihten intending pligrims on the need to pay their hajj fares on time.

 

The call was made during press briefing by the Executive Secretary of the Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo in his office on Thursday.

 

In a statement by spokesman of the board,
Murtala Usman Madobi, Labbo expressed the need for Juma’at mosque imams to call the attention of all intending pilgrims in the state to deposit their hajj fares on time.

 

He noted that the prompt deposit of the fare would enable National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, to do all the necessary things on time.

 

The executive secretary said the call is imperative to due the fact that Saudi government had fixed 29th April, 2024 as deadline for closure of issuance of visa to all intending pilgrims in the world.

 

He added that the board had started collecting N4.5 million as deposit from intending pilgrims pending the time NAHCON fixes the exact amount for 2024 Hajj exercise.

 

The Executive Secretary added that a committee had already been formed which the management staff will go round the five emirates of the state to meet with the Juma’at mosques imams and solicit for their support and cooperations.
