2025 Hajj: Jigawa airlifts last batch of intending pilgrims

Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has concluded the airlifting of the second and last batch of 368 pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.

 

The Pilgrims Board earlier on Monday airlifted the first batch of the 550 pilgrims from the state.

 

The last batch of the pilgrims, from Taura,  Buji and Birnin Kudu local government areas, departed Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi International airport, Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, Thursdays morning.

 

In his farewell message, Governor Umar Namadi, urged them to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on Nigeria and to pray for the state and country’s prosperity.

 

The Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Ahmed Umar Labbo, earlier assured the pilgrims of their commitment to their welfare during the pilgrimage.

 

The pilgrims were airlifted by Max Air airline 747 plane at about 01:51 a.m. Nigerian time.
