In an inspiring story of patience and faith, an elderly Indonesian cleaner and his wife fulfilled their long-awaited dream of performing the Hajj pilgrimage after saving daily for approximately 40 years. They recently left their country on the journey of a lifetime to Makkah from Indonesia.

Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Hajj Legiman said, I am overjoyed. I can hardly believe I will finally see the Kaaba with my own eyes. I thank God first, and then everyone who helped us, especially those in charge of the Makkah Road Initiative, which made the process easier than I could have imagined.

He continued, In 1986, with my wife’s support, I began saving just 1,000 Indonesian Rupiah a day. Despite difficult living conditions and the hard work of collecting waste, we were determined to fulfill our dream of performing Hajj. We never lost hope, and together, we steadily saved until we were finally able to register for Hajj this year.

May Allah accept it from them..
