2025 Hajj: Jigawa records full payment from over 1,000 intending pilgrims, ready for airlift

The Jigawa Pilgrim Welfare Board said over 1,000 intending pilgrims from the state had made a full payment of N8, 457, 685 million for the 2025 hajj exercise

 

The Director General of The Board, Alhaji Ahamed Umar Labbo, stated this to reporters in Dutse on Thursday.

 

Ahmed Labbo disclosed this figure to the Newsmen in  Dutse.

 

He explained that the over 1,000 sold seats are out of the 1,809 allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

 

Labbo urged the zonal and officers of the board to discharge their duties with the fear of God to enable the board to conduct successful operations.

 

According to him, the board is trying to ensure seamless exercise by improving its previous operations.

 

Umar Labbo said the board has already commenced an orientation programme for the intending pilgrims in the state’s 27 local government areas.

 

“The training focuses on obligations, tenets, and cardinal principles of the Hajj, thereby allowing the intended pilgrims to know proper and acceptable Hajj rites.

 

“The intending pilgrims are therefore advised to endeavor and attend the training given its importance.”

 

Ahmed Labbo He commended Governor Umar Namadi for his continued support of the board, which, he said, made the board’s training and other operations successful.
