Nigerian Muslims wishing to perform this year’s hajj and are yet to complete their registration has less than 48 hours to do so.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON ), had earlier announced extension of deadline for registration to July 15 2019.
Saudi Arabian authorities had informed all countries that the e-registration portal for visa application will be closed on that day.
The Head of Media and Public Affairs of NAHCON, Mrs Fatima Usara, had said in a statement that the decision to extend the registration” became necessary due to the demand from different quarters to extend the timeline for the registration.”
The statement also hinted that the online portal for pilgrims’ registration will be closed by Saudi Ministry of Hajj on 15th July thereby making it practically impossible for any intending pilgrim to register on the portal.
