The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, has met with the Director General of Hajj Affairs at the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Jeddah to discuss Nigeria’s preparations for the 2026 pilgrimage.
During the meeting, Usman presented several requests aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s planning and ensuring a seamless Hajj exercise. He appealed for the ministry’s support in facilitating early arrangements for Nigerian pilgrims.
In his response, Director General Abdallah As-Sheehri pledged to forward some of the requests to relevant Saudi authorities. He, however, stressed the need for Nigeria’s Hajj mission to comply strictly with new policies and deadlines introduced by the Kingdom.
