Press Release

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced N8,244,813.67 as the fare to be paid by intending pilgrims willing to perform the Holy pilgrimage exercise in Saudi Arabia, through the State.

This was disclosed by the Director General of The Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, in a statement issued by the News men in his office.

Labbo stated that the fare was in line with the Hajj fares for the 2026 season by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCO)

Northern States, including Jigawa, are expected to pay N8,244,813.67k, respectively.

Ahamed added that the announcement has cleared the apprehension surrounding the actual fare to be charged for the 2026 spiritual exercise and also gives the intending pilgrims and stakeholders the wherewithal to plan for the operation.

The Jigawa Pilgrims Board’s scribe enjoined intending pilgrims, especially those who had made part-payment, to try as much as possible to complete the fare on or before the new state deadline of December 24, 2025.

The Director General promised that the State would provide a comfortable atmosphere for the intending pilgrims to perform and achieve a rewarding and acceptable Hajj experience in the Holy land.
