Exclusive: NAHCON Cuts 2026 Hajj Slot Allocation for Tour Operators over failure to Secure Hajj Camp Booking

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has further reduced the slot allocation for licensed private Hajj tour operators for the 2026 Hajj exercise, citing difficulties in securing camp bookings in #Saudi Arabia.

In a circular dated December 16, 2025, and addressed to all 2026 Hajj-licensed companies, NAHCON said the total quota for tour operators has been reviewed to 9,750 pilgrims, with each company now allocated 69 slots.

The latest adjustment marks a further reduction from the earlier allocation of 71 slots per company, which itself had been reduced from an initial 100 slots per operator.

According to the commission, the review became necessary due to challenges faced by the Saudi authorities in finalising camp booking arrangements. NAHCON said the current allocation supersedes all previous slot approvals issued to tour operators.

“The Commission regrets any inconvenience this might have caused,” the circular stated, urging tour operators to comply with the revised allocation.
