The Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, has approved the appointment of 27 Local Government Centre Officers to serve under the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board ahead of the 2026 Hajj operations.
The approval, announced on December 30, 2025, is part of ongoing preparations to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated pilgrimage for intending pilgrims from the state.
The development is expected to strengthen the operational capacity of the Pilgrims Welfare Board and enhance service delivery during the 2026 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.
Reacting to the development, the Director-General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, congratulated the newly appointed officers and urged them to discharge their duties with dedication and professionalism. He reminded them of the need to serve as good ambassadors of Jigawa State and Nigeria throughout the pilgrimage.
Alhaji Labbo also commended Governor Namadi for his consistent support to the state’s pilgrims, noting that the gesture would significantly contribute to the success of the 2026 Hajj operations.
The statement was signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura.
