The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has conducted the second phase of its education and orientation exercise for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj.
The two-day programme, which is the second in the series, was held over the weekend at the Board’s Permanent Hajj Transit Camp, Bassan Jiwa, near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The exercise was designed to equip intending pilgrims with essential information and guidance on how to perform an acceptable Hajj and Umrah, while also familiarising them with the relevant rules and regulations of Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, as well as new policies guiding the 2026 Hajj exercise.
Selected Islamic scholars and resource persons from the Federal Capital Territory facilitated the sessions, providing religious and practical guidance to participants.
The programme recorded a large turnout of intending pilgrims drawn from across the FCT and its environs.
