Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has called on staff of the board to remain dedicated, committed and disciplined in the discharge of their duties, pledging to prioritise their welfare and improve working conditions.
According to a statement signed by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, Matawalle made the call during a general staff meeting at the board’s conference hall, where he stressed that dedication to service was essential for achieving the board’s mandate of delivering efficient welfare services to pilgrims.
“Dedication to duty is crucial if we are to fulfil our responsibility of providing effective and efficient services to pilgrims,” he said.
He assured staff that his administration would continue to create a conducive working environment and provide necessary support to enable them to perform their responsibilities smoothly.
As part of efforts to enhance productivity and staff support, Matawalle announced plans to establish a Staff Welfare Desk Officer to address staff-related challenges, particularly cases involving incapacitated personnel.
“The initiative is aimed at easing staff difficulties and improving overall service delivery,” he said.
He urged staff to reciprocate management’s efforts by demonstrating dedication, honesty, discipline and teamwork in the performance of their duties.
